1. Burritos
Who doesn’t know this typical Mexican food? Burritos are almost always on the menu at Mexican restaurants. This culinary dish consists of wheat tortilla bread filled with various kinds of meat. Starting from beef, chicken, lamb or pork.
After being filled with meat and sauce, the tortillas will be grilled briefly until slightly browned. At first glance, burritos are somewhat similar to Turkish kebabs. However, burritos have different sauces. The sauce used is usually guacamole, salsa sauce, or sour cream.
2. Tacos
Tacos are another healthy Mexican snack or food that you can try. This dish, which has been around for 500 years, is very popular. This food can be compared to world-famous Mexican food such as burritos. Tacos are also almost similar to burritos. Both use tortilla bread that wraps meat filling, delicious sauce, and vegetables inside.
Tacos usually contain beef, chicken, vegetables, seafood, or a mixture of cheese and various additional sauces. There, this snack is often sold at the seafood market, Coyoacán, Mexico. How does it feel? Simply put, tostada has a salty, fresh and crunchy taste. Many say tostadas resemble mini-sized tacos. The difference is, the tostada topping consists of fresh fish meat, slices of avocado, and refreshing salsa sauce. 4. Mole Poblano
This snack can be said to be quite unique because of its sweet taste. The problem is, Mexicans don’t really like sweet food. However, they admitted that this dish was quite special. Mole poblano is chicken or turkey meat coated in a chocolate-based sauce.
Various sources say this food recipe came from the Aztecs, before the Hispanic era. However, there are also other sources which say that mole pablano originated in the 16th century during the colonial era.
