This utility was written by Bill Phillips for use with Visual Basic 4.0. The program itself is a complete source code kit that will work on all versions of Microsoft Windows. It includes the full source code in the accompanying MSDOS Port Folder. No separate disk is required for installation.
The major files are the program’s source code (VBPROJ), MSDOS port (MSDOSPORT), and the documentation (.DOC). With these three files, you should be able to install the program on any version of MS-DOS.
The ZIP archives also contain two game boards (BSP and BMP), two test image files (.tiff), and one test.BMP file.
The ZIP archives also include a number of HTML files. These files are for use with both the simple (VS.htm) and advanced (VS10.htm) versions of the program.
The utility can be run on any Windows-based platform, including Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, and Vista. In the instructions below, the word “Windows” is used for all of these platforms.

Visual Basic Projects Full Screen Display:
A full-screen display is used to display the interface for Visual Basic Projects. The main screen is in the top-left corner. The two buttons to the right of the main screen are used for the game boards and to toggle between full and half-screen modes. The nine labels across the bottom of the main screen are for inputting information to the program. The label in the center is used to pause the program. The eight tabs across the top of the main screen are used for the six programs.

To use a Form in Visual Basic you will need to create a form object in code. This type of object is usually created by dragging and dropping a form onto the Visual Basic form designer. Once the form has been created it can be resized and dragged around the screen. If you need a form to be a specific size or position then you need to make the form object’s Size, Top, Left and Width properties to that exact value.

Each control is a specific type of form object. For example TextBox is a form that contains a text field. TextBox’s Size and Location properties control where the text will appear on the screen and if the textbox should have a border around it.

Using This Pack

You must first have the Visual Basic Projects installed before you can use them. You will first need to load the.exe file and when you start the program it will automatically ask you to load the.msi installer. If you are installing it for the first time you will also need to download the.exe for this pack from the sample programs page and install it on your computer. Once the program has been loaded, double click on the file named “VISUAL_BASIC_PROJECTS.exe” to start the program.

Now click on the “VISUAL BASIC PROJECTS” tab in the top left and click “Install Program”. You will then be given the option to select where you want the programs to be installed to. As the instructions below explain, your program will be installed into the “Program Files” folder.
