Where to find it: The Fill tool can be found in File > Adjustment Layers menu. In the Freehand Tool Options area, you will see Fill. You can also use it from the Color menu within in the Photoshop workspace.
How to use it: Click the arrow next to the fill tool menu and select Adjustment Layers from the menu. This will show the Adjustment layers in your image. Click on the layer and the Fill tool appears. You can change the Color, Opacity, and in some cases you can adjust the size of the fill. It’s similar to using a paint brush.
Some tips: When you are using the Adjustment Layers dialog, you can choose Repeat All Layers or Do Not Repeat All Layers from the drop-down menu. When you use the Fill tool, you will want to keep this unchecked.
How to use it: Click the Fill tool from the side of the screen and hold your mouse over a specific area of your image. A color box will appear allowing you to select the color you want to use. You can adjust the Opacity at this time or change the Box or Fire to adjust the Size. Once you’re happy with the color and size, insert your cursor and click to fill in the area.
Where to find it: The Gradient Editor can be found in the Tools menu under the Gradient category. You can hide the Gradient Editor by clicking the ‘+’ icon on the top left hand side of the Gradient panel. Moving the mouse over the image will enable and disable any Gradient editing tools. You can also click “Afresh” to get a fresh copy.
